Professional Philosophy

A Lifetime Learner

My professional philosophy is intertwined with my personal philosophy and my work and life experiences.  I believe everyone is a lifelong learner in some way.  Whether we are learning in a formal educational atmosphere, learning to run a business, or learning to hem our children's pants, we are constantly learning.  I strive to always be learning and I try to pass that philosophy on to my family and co-workers. I believe that it takes different types of learning for different people.  Some people may learn better at a university, while others will thrive in a technical college type of environment.  There are also plenty of successful business owners who have no formal secondary education.  I hope to be able to work will all types of people and help them learn, no matter how that learning takes place.  I have a passion for helping others and Student Affairs in Higher Education will help me attain a position where I can do that for a living!
